The Visitorsko jezero is a mountain lake in the Visitor massif, about 5 km northwest of Plav in eastern Montenegro . The lake lies at an altitude of 1,820 m, is 4 m deep, 92 m long and 73 m wide and covers an area of around 5,000 m². Noteworthy is the floating island that covers about a quarter of the area of the lake. According to a legend, this island was created from a raft that was built by local shepherds. During the night they brought their animals to safety from wild animals such as wolves on the "raft".
