The Vivil A. Müller GmbH & Co. KG (in the spelling of the company VIVIL A. Müller GmbH & Co. KG ) is a confectionery / candy manufacturer. It sells its products in over 30 countries around the world.

history

According to the company, Vivil A. Müller GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1903 by August Müller and launched its first peppermint in Strasbourg . In 1908 the Vivil brand was protected. The young company tried to establish itself on the American market as early as 1918. In 1920 the company moved to Offenburg . Bruno Müller used advertising to ensure that Vivil gained further prominence. After the war, the company did not recover well because Bruno Müller was missing and senior boss August Müller died in 1947. In the early 1950s, Bruno Müller's widow Elisabeth Müller, b. Rebstein, (born March 10, 1908, † August 27, 1951) and her sister, Emmy Rebstein-Metzger, successfully started production through the economic miracle. Vivil has been using a crocodile mascot to promote its products since the 1970s. After the death of Axel Müller-Vivil (born November 13, 1939 - May 3, 2012), the son of Elisabeth Müller, his son Alexander Constantin Müller-Vivil took over the management.
