Vizawrite

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Vizawrite is an English word processing program for the home computer Commodore 64 , which was developed and sold in 1983 by the company Viza Software. Since 1984 there has also been a German-language edition in which not only the menus in German but also German special characters could be used. The German version was distributed in Germany by, among others, Interface Age Verlags GmbH from Munich. It was delivered on diskette or as a plug-in module and, along with the StarTexter and Printfox programs, was one of the standard programs of the C64. The program can process up to 34,000 characters in the text memory and, as was common at the time, is controlled exclusively by key combinations. Numerous plug-ins that are reloaded from floppy disk made it possible to call macros as early as the 1980s , which are standard in every word processor today. Since Commodore paid attention to downward compatibility , all programs of the Commodore 64 can also be used on its successor, the Commodore 128 .
