Vice-county of Marseille
The vice-county of Marseille around the city of Marseille already existed as the county of Marseille at the time of the Carolingians , only to become a vice-county in the 10th century .
In the 12th century it was divided, often immediately stood several heirs under the rule. The vice-county then largely went to the family of the lords of Les Baux and was also largely acquired by the city of Marseille in the years 1213 to 1230.
