VocaMe is a German vocal ensemble of early music .

history

VocaMe was founded in 2008 under the direction of Michael Popp . In 2009 the ensemble published Greek hymns by the Byzantine composer Kassia from the 9th century. In 2012 VocaMe published Latin songs by the German mystic Hildegard von Bingen from the 12th century. In 2015 French chansons and ballads by the medieval poet Christine de Pizan from the 15th century followed. In 2018 sacred chants from the early Middle Ages were published (including by Adam von St. Viktor , Tuotilo von St. Gallen and Walter von Châtillon ).
