The Vogtland-Anzeiger is a daily newspaper that appears in the Saxon Vogtland . It is considered to be the last remaining daily newspaper to be founded in the area of ​​the former GDR after the political change of 1989. It was founded in March 1990. In 2005 and 2018 it had to file for bankruptcy, but was published by new owners. He currently belongs to Chemnitzer Verlag und Druck GmbH & Co. KG , which also publishes the Free Press .

The editorial offices in Auerbach, Reichenbach, Oelsnitz and Klingenthal, which had been in existence since the foundation, were closed in 2004, and the only editorial office has been in Plauen since then.
