Voja Miric

Voja Mirić (actually Vojislav Mirić ; born April 7, 1933 in Trstenik ; † April 23, 2019 in Belgrade ) was a Serbian actor .

Life

Mirić was first seen in the 1955/1956 season when he appeared at the Yugoslav Drama Theater in Belgrade . From 1957 to 1961 he was a member of the ensemble of the Serbian National Theater in Novi Sad and subsequently enjoyed the status of an independent artist. Since then he has been seen almost exclusively on television and on screen.

Mirić made his debut for television in Yugoslavia in Veliki poduhavt in 1960 . In his career spanning thirty years and around seventy roles in film and television, there are outstanding achievements such as the Sluzbeni polozaj produced in 1964 , for which he was awarded the Silver Arena Prize at the Pula Film Festival , two Karl May films and his Probably the most prominent role as the Bosnian dervish Ahmed Nuruddin in Zdravko Velimirović 's Dervish and Death ten years later. After Mirić took over the Belgrade theater “Terazijama” in 1980 and five years later he started as director of “Inex Film”, the short film Amnezija marked the end of his filmography in 1994 , for which he worked again in front of the camera after eight years.
