Theming

In Greek mythology , Daedalus was a brilliant inventor who lived in Athens . He accidentally killed his nephew and fled to Crete with his son Icarus . Minos, the king of Crete, knew about Daedalus' talents and asked him to build a cage for the Minotaur , a cursed creature, half a man, half a bull. Daedalus invented an inevitable labyrinth. To protect the secrets of the labyrinth, the king kept Daedalus, Icarus and the Minotaur trapped in the labyrinth. Daedalus had built a secret exit in the labyrinth and fled with Icarus.

Outside the labyrinth, they still had to get past the Minos guards blocking the streets and ports. So they made two pairs of large wooden wings with feathers glued together with wax. Daedalus told his son that it was necessary to fly at the correct altitude, as the jet of water would wet the feathers if it were too low and the sun would melt the wax if it were too high. Since Daedalus and Icarus used the wings to escape, Icarus made his father forget his flight. Icarus flew too high, the wax melted and he fell to death in the sea.

On the hill of the Vol D'Icare there is a large sun that represents the sun in flight from Icarus. The remainder of the journey is Icarus' fall to the sea.
