Volker Seresse

Volker Seresse (* 1963 in Neuss am Rhein ) is a German historian.

Scientific career

Seresse completed her studies of Middle and Modern History, Romance Philology and Ancient History in Mainz , Dijon and Kiel in 1989 with a Magister Artium. In 1992 he received his doctorate. From 1997 until his habilitation in 2002 he was a research assistant at the chair for early modern history with Olaf Mörke . After four years as senior assistant, he became an adjunct professor and teacher for special tasks (history of modern times) in 2007.

Areas of interest and research

Seresse is a specialist in the early modern era. He is particularly interested in religion and politics and in the history of Northern Europe.
