Volker von Segeberg

Volker von Segeberg is a saint of the Catholic Church.

According to the tradition in Helmold von Bosau's chronicle, Volker von Segeberg helped the holy vice-wife in the 12th century in missionizing the Wends in the Holstein area . After the founding of the congregation Segeberg by Vizelin Volker served there for a time as canon . In the 30s of the 12th century the monastery was invaded by Slavs . Volker is said to have been killed in this attack. The year of death is unclear, around 1132 to 1138.

In the Catholic Church, Volker von Segeberg is celebrated on March 7th.
