The Bernhardtstal elementary school is an elementary school in Bernhardtstalgasse in the 10th district of Favoriten in Vienna .

The elementary school at Quellenstrasse  142 at the corner of Bernhardtstalgasse / Sonnleithnergasse was built in 1903 as a free-standing post structure with an adjoining school garden and has a rich secessionist relief decoration in the style of the Vienna Secession and is a listed building .

The school was set up as an all-day school for the first classes in 2014 and currently offers afternoon care for all 23 classes.

By 2020 the school will be expanded by 14 classes from now ~ 500 to ~ 850 students. The additional classrooms, a technical workshop and a gymnastics room will be housed in an annex.

Bernhardtstal is reminiscent of a former suburb of Vienna, which was destroyed during the Second Turkish Siege of Vienna (1683).
