The Sieghartskirchen Music Primary School is an elementary school with a focus on promoting talent in Sieghartskirchen in the Tulln district , Lower Austria .
history
The princely parish school had existed since around 1700 . From 1949 to 1975 the elementary school was housed in the Josef Reither elementary and secondary school.
The new school building as the central school of the large community in Tullner Strasse began in 1974. The building was opened in 1975. Since 1995, on the initiative of Gerhard Beer, who founded the first music class, the school has also been an elementary music school.
Architecture and equipment
The building is a typical 1970s construction with plenty of space and large halls. From 2011 to 2016 it was completely renovated.
The thirteen classrooms are all equipped with Internet access. The school has two workshops, a multifunctional room, a student library, a dining room and three afternoon care rooms. There are three break halls, a sports hall and a gymnastics room. In addition to the playground and school yard, there are outdoor sports facilities and a school garden.
Pedagogy and offers
The school offers student-centered lessons and organizes learning according to Maria Montessori and Heinz Klippert . It is a training school for the Kirchliche Pädagogische Hochschule Wien / Krems . As an educational focus, she has set the promotion of talents to increase learning motivation and strength orientation. Interests and talents are promoted through holistic learning and exemplary learning . Targeted thinking and strategy training is carried out. Computer-aided learning, including the Internet, is possible in all classes.
Lunch and afternoon care are offered until 5 p.m.
