The volleyball Lower Austria Sokol / Post SV is an Austrian Volleyball Association of Schwechat in Lower Austria . The club was founded in 1990 as SV Schwechat Sokol together with TJ Sokol V Wien in Schwechat. At this point in time, Sokol V Wien already had a syndicate with Post SV Wien . SVS Sokol took over this syndicate. Together these three clubs have won more than 40 championship titles and 20 cup victories, making them the most successful Austrian game community in women's volleyball.
The club is a member of the Lower Austrian Volleyball Association and the ASKÖ . The home games are played in the sports hall of the ball sports high school Erdberg and in the sports hall Brigittenau in the Hopsagasse, the club colors are black.

Volleyball Niederösterreich was founded in 1990 as SV Schwechat Sokol on the initiative of the then mayor Rudolf Tonn together with TJ Sokol V Vienna in Schwechat. At this point in time, Sokol V Wien already had a syndicate with Post SV Wien . SVS Sokol took over this syndicate
Sokol V Vienna
The origins of Sokol V Vienna go back to the 1860s when the gymnastics movement spread through the Habsburg monarchy . In 1867, when Austria-Hungary was founded, the Sokol sports club was founded as a gymnastics club in Vienna. Volleyball was first played in the Sokol clubs in 1926. In 1953 Sokol was one of the founding members of the Austrian Volleyball Association. The men's team played under the name Schwechat Sokol V until 2016 .
