history

Christl Mayer founded a pure hobby group in 1983, which was integrated into the volleyball section of Union Krems and existed until 1992. Under Alexandra Lipp, the section was re-established in 1994 and Christl and Thomas Mayer were hired as coaching team. Under the leading player Christl Mayer, she achieved third place in the first class, and in 2000/01 she was promoted to the 2. Bundesliga East.

Together with the Vienna hotVolleys, the club entered into a syndicate to expand the Bundesliga squad. Although they managed to stay in the league with 5th place, no uniform team could be formed with the Kremser and the Viennese players and the syndicate was ended.

In 2005, the club's management decided to set up their own volleyball club, X-Volley, from the volleyball section of Sportunion Krems. Through the youth work of the club, players were introduced from the national league squad to the national team squad.

The club was relegated from the Bundesliga for financial reasons after the 2005/06 season and sought a game and training community with other clubs. Suitable partners have been found in the SG SVS Post, Sokol V Wien and Sportunion Stockerau clubs.

Thomas Mayer took over the presidency of the Lower Austrian Volleyball Association and withdrew from the Krems volleyball club. In 2011, his wife also handed over the coaching position to Magda Pulker for health reasons. In 2013, Michaela Moza, who is still a trainer in the club, took over in 2013. From the 2017/18 season, Lisa Katharina Nader and Caroline Biegel were hired further trainers.
