Solid cast iron

Under full hard casting is meant a in mold material shed, white cast iron which according to the fully iron-carbon phase diagram solidifies after the metastable system. In contrast to chilled cast iron , its structure only shows perlite and ledeburite components. It is used for cast parts with relatively low mechanical stress with the aim of achieving maximum wear resistance .
