Vologesias

Vologesias is a Parthian city of Vologaeses I. was founded. The city is mentioned by some ancient authors and appears in inscriptions from Palmyra as the starting point for caravans . The exact location of the city is unknown, but it may not have been far from Babylon and Ctesiphon . In ancient sources, there is also a city called Vologesokerta, which may be the same city. In the city there was a temple of the Augusti, which was consecrated by the Palmyric caravan leader Soadu .
