The Von Ahnska magasinet is a port warehouse at Storgatan in Umea , Sweden . It was originally a wooden barn built in 1887 by Lieutenant Colonel Ludwig August von Hedenberg ; the architect was Carl Engelbert Fridolf Sandgren .

The building survived the great city fire of 1888 and was bought by the (originally German) merchant Johan Viktor von Ahn , who expanded it towards the Ume River .

In 2014 Umeå Energi acquired the property located between Von Ahnska magasinet and Gamla bankhuset , which is listed as a protected monument under Swedish law.
