Case processing

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Under case management means the computerized processing of transactions by Clerk of administration (eg. As the processing of applications for government benefits) of the origin of the operation ( application ) to the final settlement along predetermined, usually branched processing paths. The term process is used both on the process and on the related documents that arise in a process and lead to the formation of files. Business processes are used outside of public administration . This is known as business process management.

A process goes through one after the other, e.g. Sometimes also at the same time, several states (see under Status ) with often different editors. Depending on the status, different processing activities are required or permitted.

Basic element of a software application for transaction processing is the guidance along the predefined machining path, and workflow ( workflow called). Workflows can be run through in parallel and / or sequentially.

In practice, there are mainly two methods to electronically support process processing:

A special form is the automatic process processing in the form of dark processing . If some or all of the processing steps are possible without the involvement of a clerk, the process processing can be partially or fully automated on a server . Automatic processing steps are usually outsourced to night processes. Typical for this is the nightly mass printing of notices or reminders. With better quality, the automatic invoice processing is also finding its way into the dark. This requires a high degree of operational organization.
