Vorhorn
Vorhorn (also known as Klein Rothensee or Siedlung vor dem Busch ) was a settlement near the city of Magdeburg .
It was first mentioned in a document in 1775. The settlement was surrounded by alluvial forests . To enable agricultural use, the Rothenseer Busch was cleared in 1803 and the Vorhorn in 1813.
In 1816 Friedrich August Winkelmann founded the Magdeburg gymnastics and swimming school on the Vorhorn, which only existed until 1820.
In 1894, the move to Magdeburg was incorporated in 1908 was followed by the incorporation of Rothensee . The area of the settlement was then used largely industrially.
