Preproduction (music)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In music production including pre-production (Engl. Pre-production ) is usually a package at the draft stage, which is to give the client a first impression and mostly out of time and costs, with software instruments and samples based on the MIDI creates standards. The standardized General MIDI sounds (GM) no longer play a role here due to their poor quality. If the draft is approved, the actual production begins with studio musicians (or with high-quality software samplers), often with an orchestra in the case of film music .
