The Vretene was a measure of area in Dalmatia at the time of the Austrian administration.

  • around Makarska 1 Vretene = 200 pertiche squares = 8.706 ares
  • around Almissa 1 Vretene = 144 roshe squares = 8.532 ares
  • in Trau 1 Vretene = 144 Rosche / Rosghe squares = 773.882 square meters

On the island of Brazza the measure was Vreteno di rosghe with 853 square meters and on Spalato 627 square meters.
