Vstrech Island ( English , Russian Остров Встреч Ostrow Wstretsch , German 'Encounter Island ' ) is an island off the Knox coast of the East Antarctic Wilkesland . It is located in the area of the Bunger Oasis .
Soviet scientists mapped and named them in 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated this name into English.
