Vytautas Markevičius
Vytautas Markevičius (born January 4, 1962 in Milvyda, Varėna district ) is a Lithuanian lawyer, lawyer and former judicial politician , Minister of the Interior of Lithuania .
Life
In 1985 Vytautas Markevičius graduated from the Law Faculty of Vilnius University and then worked in the Vilnius Public Prosecutor's Office , in 1991 as head of the legal department of the Lithuanian government apparatus . From 1993 to 1994 he worked as a corporate lawyer at UAB "CLAN-BALT". In 1995 he became a lawyer and founded a law firm.
In 1999 he was appointed Deputy Minister of the Interior and on October 30, 2000, Minister of the Interior. On July 5, 2001 he became Minister of Justice of Lithuania under Algirdas Brazauskas and served as Minister until 2004.
