Vytis (police)

The team of the Lithuanian public police "Vytis" (lit. Lietuvos viešosios policijos rinktinė "Vytis" ) is a specialized unit of the Lithuanian police . The police authority protects the foreign diplomatic missions in Lithuania and the Lithuanian diplomatic and consular missions abroad. "Vytis" was founded on January 12, 1993 by the Ministry of the Interior. There are 281 police officers. The protection of 76 objects in Lithuania, 72 of them diplomatic missions and consular premises, four are other objects ( Ministry of Interior of Lithuania , Police Department at the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania , Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania , guest house of the Lithuanian Government Chancellery ).

The registered office is in Visoriai (Visorių g. 27A), Vilnius .
