The voter group Citizens for Weißenfels / Landgemeinden (BfW / Landgemeinden) is a voter group in Weißenfels .

Foundation and development

Voters group went from a merger of the group Citizens for Weissenfels and the Group of rural communities in the City Council out of the city Weissenfels. The Landgemeinden parliamentary group comprised the majority of the mayors of former municipalities that had previously been forcibly incorporated into the town of Weißenfels. These former municipal mayors were co-opted with the incorporation of their municipalities into the city council .

In the election for the city council of Weißenfels on May 25, 2014, the electoral group reached 18.05 percent of the valid votes cast and thus seven out of 40 seats, according to the preliminary final result. In the election for the district council of the Burgenland district on May 25, 2014, the BfW / rural communities electoral group received 3.1 percent of the valid votes cast and two seats.
