The Württemberg Motor Vehicle Plant Rottenburg ( WMR ) was founded in 1929 by Wilhelm Jeckel from Rottenburg .

Between 1929 and 1931, a total of 35 different models of motorcycles were produced here. The machines produced were equipped with engines from 9 HP to 28 HP and were among the top brands of the time. The motorcycles were launched under the slogan "If you want to be master of the road, drive a WMR." sold.

The most powerfully motorized version of the 500 model with 28 hp promised a top speed of over 120 kilometers per hour, with four liters of fuel consumption per 100 kilometers and one liter of oil per 500 kilometers. The engine of the top model was a K-engine "System Küchen above-controlled" from German production, the other machines had a Blackburne engine from English production.

After the company's founder died early in an accident at the end of 1929, production continued in Rottenburg until bankruptcy in 1931.
