The WM GmbH (also WM Mulser ) is in Blumau ( South Tyrol , Italy -based) company that since 1985 ice resurfacing machines for rinks distributes and. Willy Mulser is the founder and managing director of W. M. The machines are equipped with a diesel, gasoline or electric motor. In addition to the production and sale of ice resurfacing machines, W. M. also offers repair and maintenance services.
history
In 1985, the founder and managing director of W. M. built the company's first ice processing machine, the prototype of the WM 2300. A year later, in 1986, it was put into operation. In the same year, an ice processing attachment for Unimog vehicles was also developed. In 1991 W. M. exported the first WM machine of the type WM 2300 to Langenthal in Switzerland. The machine was already further developed than the previous prototypes. So this machine was z. B., like all the following machines, designed as a device carrier for additional devices (e.g. water cannons, Whiteman, etc.). The WM 2301 High Tech replaced the WM 2300 in 1995. The machine was produced with gasoline, diesel and electric drive. In 1998 and 1999, the WM 2070 Junior for small ice rinks and the WM 1700 Mini for mobile ice rinks were developed. Production of the WM 1700 Mini was discontinued in 2009. In 2004 the WM 2301 High Tech was replaced by the WM Evolution. With this machine, the color display was introduced. The electric version is equipped with maintenance-free AC motors and a newly developed knife quick-change system.
Current ice machines (2016)
The WM Compact, designed for areas of up to 1200 square meters, has been in production since 2009, the successor to the WM 1700 Mini. The machine is produced with diesel and electric drive and, in contrast to the WM 1700 Mini, is no longer controlled via a joystick but with a pedal. The maximum speed of the machine can be set using a potentiometer , which enables driving with the pedal fully depressed.
The successor to the WM Evolution, the WM evo2, has been in production since 2015 and is especially designed for ice rings. The machine has a snow tank with a volume of 4.1 cubic meters and a water tank volume of up to 1400 liters. This machine is driven by gasoline, electric or diesel motors. The color display has a screen diagonal of 7 inches. The planing unit is made of stainless steel and is equipped with a quick knife change.
The WM Mammoth was developed in 2015 and is fully electric. The ice resurfacing machine has a water tank volume of 1000 liters and a snow tank volume of 3 cubic meters. The planing unit is made of stainless steel and is equipped with a quick knife change.
Others
W. M. GmbH also sells its products outside of Italy through dealers, for example in Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Poland, Russia, Greece, Croatia and Germany. I.a. The ice machines from W. M. are used in the German Ice Hockey League .
