The Neftjanik Stadium is a football stadium with an athletics facility in the Russian city of Ufa . It has space for 15,132 spectators and serves as a home for the FK Ufa club .
history
The Neftjanik Stadium in Ufa , now with just over a million inhabitants in the Bashkortostan region in southern Russia and the capital of the region, opened in 1967 after it had been built in previous years. Just like the Dynamo Stadium , which is also located in Ufa, the sports facility was subsequently used by the local soccer club FC Neftjanik Ufa as a venue for home games. Neftjanik Ufa played in the second-highest division for a few years during the Soviet Union and made the leap into the Wysschaja Liga . After its establishment in 1967, Neftjanik Ufa played most of the time in the Neftjanik Stadium, which also bears the name of the club. The Dynamo Stadium, on the other hand, was opened in 1934 and fell into disrepair before it was renovated in 2007.
After the dissolution of Neftjanik Ufa, a successor club was founded in 2010 with FK Ufa , which made a surprisingly steep rise to the Premjer league as the highest Russian division. After successful relegation games against Tom Tomsk , four years after the club was founded, a club from Ufa was promoted to the highest league in the country for the first time. The Neftjanik Stadium was too outdated for that. It was closed and renovated for the time being. In the 2014/15 season , FK Ufa then played again in the Dynamo Stadium, which after its renovation in 2007 was more suitable for the guidelines of the Russian first division, but is also very small with a capacity of just over 5,000 seats. In 2015, the renovation work on Neftjanik Stadium was finished and FK Ufa moved back to this stadium. Since 2015, the Neftjanik Stadium has now had space for 15,132 spectators. It was opened after the renovation with a game of the Premjer League 2015/16 , in which FK Ufa Zenit St. Petersburg received. In Zenit's 1-0 win, Danny scored the first goal at the newly opened Neftjanik Stadium.
