The Dynamo Stadium in Ufa , a city with now a little over a million inhabitants and the capital of the Bashkortostan region in the eastern part of European Russia , was built between 1930 and 1934 and was officially opened in the latter year. From 1947 it was used by the soccer club FC Neftjanik Ufa as a venue for home games in soccer. The club played for many years in the second division of Soviet football, but the leap into the first class was denied him. In 2006 Neftjanik Ufa was dissolved, four years later a football club was founded in the metropolis under the name FK Ufa . This also began to use the Dynamo Stadium as a venue for home games. And the newly founded club experienced a steep rise. Thanks to financially decent circumstances, only four years after the club was founded, they made their first promotion to the Premjer League , Russia's first football league. This means that exactly eighty years after the sports facility was completed, visitors to the Dynamo Stadium will get to see first division football for the first time. However, the club occasionally moves to the Zvezda Stadium in Amkar Perm when games of the Premjer League are pending, in which more spectators are to be expected.

Today the Dynamo Stadium in Ufa has space for 5,350 spectators, making it the smallest stadium in the Russian elite league. In view of the size of the city of Ufa, however, an expansion of the arena is planned in the event that FK Ufa should establish itself in the first division. Significantly more onlookers could fit into the arena before, but during renovation work in 2007, a large part of the capacity fell victim to modernization. However, it should also be taken into account that football in Ufa was completely at a standstill at that time, so you didn't need a large stadium. In the Dynamo Stadium, the game is played on artificial turf.
