W. Martin Bloomer
William Martin Shepard Bloomer is an American classical philologist ( Latinist ).
Life
He studied at Yale University , where he received his BA in 1982, MPhil in 1984 and Ph.D. in 1987. attained. Since 2011 he has been Professor of Classical Philology at the University of Notre Dame .
His research areas are in Roman literature, ancient rhetoric and the history of education.
