The W3DZZ antenna is a dipole antenna that is used in amateur radio in the 40 and 80 meter bands . These are the amateur radio bands from 7–7.2 MHz and 3.5–3.8 MHz. The resonant circuits in the two dipole halves are tuned to 7 MHz. For frequencies around 7 MHz (wavelength 40 m) they act as blocking circles and shorten the antenna. W3DZZ antennas typically have a span of around 34 m.

W3DZZ was the amateur radio call sign of Chester L. Buchanan , born in 1915, the inventor of the W3DZZ antenna.
