WIMP (web platform)
In the web context, WIMP stands for a software bundle with which database-supported, dynamic websites can be implemented. The bundle consists of the following software products (according to the first letters):
- Windows as a platform,
- IIS (Microsoft's web server ),
- MySQL as a database in the background
- and PHP , a scripting language for implementing website-specific functionality.
Alternatives are e.g. B. WAMP and LAMP .
