Günter Holland

Günter Holland (born November 13, 1923 , † August 13, 2006 ) was a German journalist and publisher. For many years he was the editor of the Augsburger Allgemeine (AZ).

Holland began his journalistic career in the political editorship of the Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung in Essen . He later reported as a foreign correspondent for various newspapers from Paris and in 1962 became a member of the AZ editorial team.

He was married to Ellinor Frenzel . After the death of the founding editor of AZ, his father-in-law Curt Frenzel , he became editor-in-chief of the newspaper in 1970, then managing director and finally publisher, together with his wife Ellinor.
