WLRH is a public radio station based in Huntsville , Alabama . The station went on the air on October 12, 1976 and is Alabama's first 24-hour public radio station. WLRH is the only radio station owned by the Alabama Educational Television Commission. This state agency is better known as the operator of the Alabama Public Television Network .

WLRH transmits with 100 kW ERP on 89.3 MHz.
