Wmfo or wmfo-FM (also Freeform Radio ) is an American public-sector radio stations from Medford in the state of Massachusetts . WMFO-FM transmits on the ultra-short wave frequency (VHF) 91.5 M Hz with 0.125 k W and is operated by Tufts University .
It broadcasts from the Curtis Hall district for the entire Boston metropolitan area. Following the freefrom idea, the station's DJs broadcast pop , rock , classical , hip-hop and many other styles and talk shows as well as live sesions from bands. Many of the DJs come from Medford and Somerville and have moderated their respective shows for 30 years.
