WS Agreement

WS-Agreement is a specification of the Global Grid Forum from 2005 and is in the context of the WS- * specifications. In a service-oriented architecture , the focus for the consumer of a service is to get binding statements about quality, availability and similar parameters. As a rule, a service provider cannot make a general statement about this, but has to do this based on its current load and comparable environmental conditions. Finally, if promises are made, it is also necessary to monitor compliance in order to notify the service user in the event of non-compliance. WS-Agreement is dedicated to this problem and therefore contains mechanisms to formulate service requirements, guarantees and descriptions on the one hand and to monitor compliance with them on the other. Specifically, it is about the technical "formulation" of service level agreements . An alternative to the WS-Agreement is the WSLA (Web Service Level Agreement) specification published by IBM in 2001 .
