Gun proficiency test (Germany)
German gun law requires proof of expertise in handling weapons and ammunition. Proof in accordance with the statutory provisions can be provided by taking a weapon proficiency test (Section 7, WaffG) .
"Expertise. Proof of expertise has been provided by those who have passed their examination in front of the specific position or who can prove their expertise through an activity or training. "
According to the provisions of Section 7, WaffG , the requirements for knowledge of weapons technology and law, the examination and the examination procedures, as well as the otherwise admissible proof of expertise, may vary from state to state.
Appropriate literature and preparatory seminars are available to prepare for the weapon proficiency test. The seminars are offered by the clubs and associations as well as interest groups and independent providers. Catalogs of questions are also available from clubs or associations and on the Internet.
