Joscha Remus

Joscha Remus (born August 23, 1958 in Speicher , South Eifel) is a German writer and journalist .

Life

Joscha Remus comes from a Bukovinian - Moselle-Franconian family. He studied biology , German and philosophy in Trier and Berlin . After numerous trips, a traineeship and work for a medical journal, training followed in Berlin, Rome and London, where Remus developed practical methods for motor intelligence as a children's physiotherapist .

According to Joscha Remus, cognitive and emotional intelligence is based on an intelligence of movement. A topic that he also practically researched and discussed in 2005 in his book Infonautik with Stanisław Lem , Antonio Damasio and Vilayanur S. Ramachandran , among others . Joscha Remus conducted two of the last interviews the science fiction author gave with Stanisław Lem for Die Zeit .

Joscha Remus began publishing non-fiction books, travel guides and prose in the 1990s. In 2007 he founded the first knowledge café in Germany in the media library in Stuttgart. An apprenticeship as a noisemaker with Thorolf Dormer in Berlin gave him the idea of ​​starting a travel audio book series. From 2006 to 2010 Joscha Remus wrote and produced audio journeys in feature format worldwide. In 2010 this series called wegwärts was awarded the German Audiobook Prize.

In addition to his work as a writer and author, Joscha Remus mainly works as a science, gourmet and travel journalist.

When not traveling, Joscha Remus lives in Berlin.
