The election to the Queensland Legislative Assembly in 1915 was a general election held in the Australian state of Queensland on May 22, 1915 to determine the 72 members of the Legislative Assembly .
The election was the second that the ministerial government had to face under Digby Denham , who had been Premier of Queensland since February 7, 1911 . The opposition Labor Party under TJ Ryan had previously provided the prime minister twice - in 1899 by Anderson Dawson and in 1906 by William Kidston , the former not being supported by a majority in parliament and the latter by splitting the Labor Party. Labor did not hold a majority government before 1915.
The election resulted in a landslide victory for Labor and the first majority government laboratories in Queensland compared to the 1912 election . Except for two, Denham's ministers and Denham himself lost their seats. The election ushered in a period of hegemony of the Labor Party in the Assembly that lasted until 1957, which was only interrupted in 1929-1932 by the Moore Ministry .
1 335,195 voters were registered for election, but eight seats (11.1% of all seats) were awarded unopposed - six seats for Labor, which represented 24,564 registered voters, a ministerialist seat, which represented 3,999 voters, and one of the Farmers' Union that represented 4,571 voters.
