Truth and Reconciliation Commission (Ivory Coast)

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Ivory Coast is along the lines of the South African Truth and Reconciliation Commission formed organization. It is supposed to investigate the events during the government crisis 2010/2011 , in which around 3,000 people were killed and over 500,000 fled.

The commission consists of eleven people and is headed by former Prime Minister Konan Banny . Football player Didier Drogba is also a member of the commission.

The commission was sworn in on September 28, 2011. About 2000 guests attended the opening ceremony.
