Waldemar Frank
Waldemar Frank (born February 8, 1903 in Forchheim as Waldemar Rosenbaum ; † October 29, 1961 in Berlin ) was a German playwright and film producer .
Life
Waldemar Frank was an author and co-author of operettas and comedies in the 1930s and 1940s. The most famous comedies include the husbandless honeymoon and hen party , written together with Leo Lenz , both of which were also filmed. He wrote the book templates for operettas with composers such as Friedrich Schröder , Robert Stolz and Gerhard Winkler . One of his most famous operettas is Nights in Shanghai , again a collaboration with Leo Lenz.
In 1950 he founded Central-Europa-Film GmbH and produced successful operetta and music films.
Waldemar Frank had been married to Ursula Schmidt since 1944 and had three sons with her.
