Waldfrieden Wonderland
The Waldfrieden Wonderland is an international open-air music festival that has been taking place in Stemwede every year since 1997 at the beginning or end of August . The main style of music is psychedelic trance . It is the largest festival on the Waldfrieden site, where the Hai in der Mai Festival and the Wald Healing Festival also take place.
Venue
The festival takes place in Wehdem , a place in the municipality of Stemwede, northeast of Osnabrück . The camping area and the rest of the event area are located on the slope of the Stemweder Berg, directly on or in the forest. The forest makes up the special character of the venue. There are several indoor and outdoor dance floors, a meadow area on the slope and various stands. The music is electronic, mostly Psytrance or Goa . For several years there has also been a "Healing Area" in which workshops and lectures are offered.
The Wonderland Festival recorded increasing numbers of visitors. Visitors come mainly from western and northern Germany, the nearby Netherlands and Belgium.
