WaldorfSV bodies

The federal school conference

The Bundesschülertagung (BST) is the conference of all students in a Waldorf or Rudolf Steiner school. The federal school conference takes place twice a year.

The board of directors

The seven-member board (up to 2008 speakers) represents the WaldorfSV in public.

Since October 6, 2019, the board has consisted of Sophie Niemann (Annie-Heuser-Schule Berlin), Elisa Scheller (FWS Bochum), Alicia Reinkmeyer (FWS Minden), Yashann Steffens (FWS Otterberg), Elisabeth von Pilsach (FWS Lüneburg), Joseph Abend (FWS Munich) and Noël Norbron (FWS Göttingen).

Goals of the WaldorfSV

The goals of the WaldorfSV are, on the one hand, to represent the Waldorf students externally, but also to represent them to the committees of Waldorf organizations such as the Federation of Independent Waldorf Schools . The WaldorfSV also works to ensure that one is formed in those federal states in which there is no regional student council of the free Waldorf schools or a comparable body. On the other hand, the active participation in the design of the school learning space as well as the question of different and new forms of learning in the school and extracurricular context is a main field of the work of the WaldorfSV. The work of the WaldorfSV also includes working on projects.

Nationwide student exchange between Waldorf students

The nationwide school exchange is intended to promote the networking of German Waldorf schools. Every pupil of a Waldorf or Rudolf Steiner school has the opportunity to switch to another participating Waldorf school for one or two epochs (approx. 4–8 weeks). He should live with a family at the school in question. In the project, every student has the opportunity to get to know a different, often completely different school and to take new impressions back with them, in order to perhaps implement something new at their own school.
