Wood partridges ( Arborophila ) are a genus of the pheasant family . These are birds that inhabit the forests of the Southeast Asian tropics and subtropics. They have a round to oval body shape and short round wings.

Wood partridges are monogamous. Outside of the mating season, they live together in families. The chicks are raised by the males and females together.
