Valentin Andreyevich Trifonov
Valentin Andrejewitsch Trifonow ( Russian Валентин Андреевич Трифонов ; born September 8, 1888 , † March 15, 1938 in Moscow ) was a Soviet politician and leader of the Red Army .
Life
Trifonov took part in the revolutions of 1905 and 1917. In the Russian Civil War he fought against Denikin . He was a member of the Revolutionary War Council of the 3rd Army. At the end of the 1930s he was killed by Stalin's terror by being shot. Valentin Trifonov was the father of the writer Yuri Valentinovich Trifonov , who wrote a semi-documentary novel about his father's fate.
