Valeri Domovchiyski ( Bulgarian Валери Домовчийски , often also Valeri Domovchiyski transcribed; born October 5, 1986 in Plovdiv ) is a Bulgarian football player .

Career

Domowtschijski grew up in Rakovsky near Plovdiv and played for Mariza Plovdiv before moving to Levski Sofia's youth academy. He made his debut for the U-21 national team of Bulgaria against Sweden (1: 2). From 2004 he played for Levski Sofia and scored 60 goals in 121 games. The Blackburn Rovers became aware of him through his achievements . Although he had passed the medical test, the transfer failed, whereupon he signed with Hertha BSC . The Berlin borrowed it for a fee of 200,000 euros until the summer of 2008 with the option to buy it for one million euros, which was later used. In the three years at Hertha BSC he made 65 appearances in the first team and scored nine goals. Domowtschijski scored the last goal in a competitive game against Oliver Kahn on May 17, 2008 in a 4-1 win for FC Bayern Munich against Hertha BSC .

For the 2011/12 season Domowtschijski moved to MSV Duisburg and signed a two-year contract there.

After Duisburg's forced relegation in the summer of 2013, he moved back to the domestic league to Botew Plovdiv . In March 2014, he joined Cherno More Varna . In the summer of 2014 he returned to Levski Sofia. Since then, further positions followed in his home country Bulgaria and in Greece.
