The facility with an area of ​​1.4 hectares was probably built around 140 BC. It was surrounded by a ring wall. There was a second construction phase after a fire, which is dated around the beginning of the Christian era .

The ridge is bounded to the north by the Glärbach and to the south by the Iserlohner Spring in Gleiersiepen. Opposite on the other side of the Hönne, to the east, you can see the Olle Borg .
