Wally Eichhorn-Nelson
Wally Eichhorn-Nelson (born December 17, 1896 in Ernstthal , † April 1986 ) was a German writer .
Wally Eichhorn-Nelson was born in Ernstthal, grew up and lived there. After the Second World War , she shifted her work entirely to the field of writing. Her legacy is maintained by her daughter and grandson.
What distinguishes her poetry is her love for the common people. She herself comes from an old family of glassblowers and so she was open to the social hardship of poor home workers from an early age . It is thanks to her that she was the first female writer to describe the life of glassblowers in the southern Thuringian Forest . From the exact knowledge of this time, the characters of her books, such as B. "Rauh is the Kammweg", "Small town in the mountains", "From snow, butter and strange medicine", "From Sonneberg to Rennsteighöhe" - a total of 14 titles.
In the series Deutsches Land - Heimatland she published together with Herbert Greiner-Mai the volume picture book from the high Thuringian Forest .
