Walpurgis II of Rosdorf

Walpurgis II von Rosdorf , also Walburga von Rosdorf , Countess von Roden and Wunstorf (* around 1290 at Hardegsen Castle ; † August 7, 1358 ibid) was a daughter of the nobleman Ludwig I von Rosdorf, the first lord of the castle of Hardegsen and Moringen , and Sister of Ludwig II of Rosdorf .

At the age of 16 to 18, in 1308 at the latest in 1310, she became the second wife of Count Johann I von Roden and Wunstorf. He was documented between 1279 and 1334, born around 1260, died on April 4, 1334. After her death in 1358, a grave slab was made in the collegiate church in Wunstorf, showing Walburga together with her husband Count Johann and which is still in the chancel today.
