The Walter Sedlmayr Square is a square in Munich - Feldmoching , just west of the train station Munich-Feldmoching . It was named in 2000 after the Munich folk actor Walter Sedlmayr , who temporarily lived in Feldmoching.
A weekly market takes place there every Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The Kinderschutz München association , in cooperation with Neue Wegen e. V. , a non-profit association for youth welfare and social care, the Walter-Sedlmayer-Platz on Tuesdays with kickers, table tennis tables, throwing discs, badminton sets, painting opportunities and balls.
architecture
The approximately 0.22 ha large station forecourt was designed in 2003 by Ludger Gerdes . The construction cost 980,000 euros. A comprehensive renovation of the district and business center is planned for 2017.

The Munich-Feldmoching train station with U2 and S1 is nearby. Buses 170, 171 and 173 stop just a few meters from Walter-Sedlmayr-Platz.
